All of the rental gear we rented came in last night so today we hit the ground running hard! We have been so excited to really get going and luckily we have been blessed with a lot of fantastic families willing to work with us and let us into their lives, so we were able to get quite a few amazing shoots set up!
LEARNING AT HOME
We started in the beautiful home where the family showed us some of their favorite ways to do schooling together: learning through games, time out reading in their treehouse, math in the kitchen, hands-on learning manipulatives, and having time alone to escape into the world of beautiful stories! Seriously, everything about this shoot went so well! It rained all day except for one window of time just long enough to get out in the treehouse, the book fort was just delightfully dreamy, and the family was so much fun to be around! I could tell that they really love homeschooling and being together!
The next thing we had planned to film, a homeschool craft fair happening in the park, unfortunately got rained out. But that is life, so we took a nice lunch break and then on to the next shoot.
CO-OP PLAY
There is a group of local homeschoolers (ages 5-18) in a Co-op who had been working for months to put on a play together, and we were able to set it up to go film their performance. The children all did a wonderful job, the story was really fun, and the audience definitely had a good time! it was a lot of fun to be able to capture all of the homeschool kids working together, doing something that took a lot of practice and that they clearly loved, to create something so awesome!
PLAYING AT THE PARK
The day ended at a park with a group of younger Homeschoolers (2-7) spending time together having fun! You cant go wrong with dancing ribbons, bubbles, and a parachute in the gorgeous evening sunlight! The visuals of this shoot were stunning and a pleasure to film! All in all it was a very full and wonderful day and we cant wait to keep going!!!
